I don't want hyperlinks

How can I stop Excel 2000 from formatting e.mail addresses
as hyperlinks. I want to be able to turn this feature
entirely off, not just override it with an apostrophe.
This is very easy in Excel XP, there's a check box option,
but I can't find a similar option in E2k.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
 
Thanks! The solutions aren't as simple as I had hoped
for, but I'll give them a try.

If anyone has a simpler fix I'm all ears!
 
Hi Tom

You also can press Ctrl-Z after you fill in your E-mail address
and press enter.
