We just got a new computer at my office (this guy built it) and it will not
load windows. It will act like it is going to load but it will just shut
itself down and never fully load windows. I have tried to reinstall windows
but it says the hard drive is not installed. I finally got it to give me an
error message and I do not know what it means.
C:\\windows\system32\lsass.exe terminated unexpectandly using code
1073740979. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. Please
adivse as soon as possible. We have never gotten this computer to turn on,
it has been like this since the day we got it. The guy that built it keeps
telling me to restore the computer but it wont do that either. That was the
first thing I tried.

Hi,

It appears the system may be infected with the Sasser Worm.

Here are a couple of links, one with information on the Sasser Worm
and the other a removal tool.
If you can boot into Safe Mode do so and run the removal tool using
the instruction provided in the article.

Gee, I hope you didn't pay too much for it.

It could be anything. Overheating. Bad hardware. Software problems. Or it
could be multiple problems.

If it never worked, you might want to get your money back.
