Now I am able to open access database, but when I try to open macros and
reports and modules in design mode, it gives me this message: " you don't
have permission to read.

This program was written by a developer on 2001, and now I'm supposed to fix
a bug in the program and the company didn't provide me any Functional
specification or training for that program.

User level security has been applied. You need to find the workgroup file
that was used to secure the database and join that workgroup when opening the
database. The file may be named anything from system.mdw to secure.mdw to
dbname.mdw to *anything* else. The 3 letter file name extension will be MDW
though. Good luck.

They never do. You can *wing it* or educate yourself with books or formal
courses.
