I don't have a send button when i compose a message. I have outlook as my
selected mail server and i know the outlook express for 2003 requires an
account, but the basic outlook should still work for office 2003 right?

It won't work unless you set up your mail account in Outlook, too. Outlook
Express is not really related to Outlook at all. OE is a Windows program and
OL is an Office program. Outlook needs OE for Newsgroups, not mail.

Thank you Mary It worked. Now for another one. I went to the set up account
page in outlook and i guess that's to link my other e mail accounts?
Microsoft is not very good at giving instructions. I'd like to link my other
e mail accounts to oulook and I can't see why I can't just do a go to instead
of having to do it manually. I did put in yahoo as my new account but it
show up in my window but it's nothing. what do i need to do to link all my
other e mail accounts to outlook. if you have a site that you can just
direct me to or a place in office help then that'll be good. But my
experience with microsoft help has been it's a waste because it's not for the
novice user.

If you have accounts defined in Outlook Express, you can import them into
Outlook with File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail Account Settings.

There's no way Microsoft can tell you how to correctly set up your specific
accounts because every ISP can have its own specific rules, like SSL, SMTP
authentication, port number, and so on. Every one will also have its own
unique server names.

You can't use Outlook for free Yahoo mail. If you pay for POP yahoo mail,
follow their instructions.
