I don't get this!!

I have just networked my computer with a laptop. We have
a Direcway satellite connection which is behind a
firewall. When I used this connection myself (before the
networking) I was able to get into any website I wanted.
Now that I have networked, I cannot get into any game
website at all. I have disabled my Norton Firewall and
tried lowering my security settings but nothing seems to
help. The strange thing is, I can access those gaming
sites through the laptop that I am networked with but not
through my own computer (which is the host).

Any suggestions?

How are you networked? Using a Router? ICS? something else? Please
describe your setup.
