I am an Outlook 2003 user. I am trying to delete some emails with viruses in
my 'Outlook.pst' and 'Outlook backup.pst' files but the only thing that
happens when I open it in the way advised on the MS site is that it gives me
an empty Personal Folders folder.

I go to FILE>OPEN>OUTLOOK DATA FILES then try to open it but never get to
view anything. Does anyone know a program that will open them other than
outlook then I can go in thru' C:\Documents and Settings\
etc......Outlook.pst Many thanks

Only Outlook can view them. Do you get an error message? If not, what
exactly do you see? Are you using the folder list pane - Ctrl+6 to show it
(and all of the folders).
