I can't turn Word to be default editor to Outlook 2003.Box is ina.

I insalled Outlook 2003 over my outlook 2002 and I have Microsoft Office XP
on my system. It does not autocorrect spelling or capital letters while
typing. I tried to swtich on the MS. Word to be the defaul outlook email
editor as they sais but the box can't be checked or unchecked coz its
inactive.
I have followed the instruction and from the main outlook page, I clicked
tools, then options and then mail format. But the use MS word 2003 is
inactive.

You cannot use Word unless the versions match. OL2003 requires Word 2003.
