I can't shut down or restart...hlp plz

This has been one crazy week for me & my pc.

I have chosen to "shut down" my pc from the start menu AND ctrl/alt/delete
and nothing happens. Any clues to what is going on?

I'll hang out for as long as I can before I hit the main button, haven't
tried that yet and don't even know if it is going to work.

HELP ME PLZ!!!!

If you can not see your post, there is a problem with your computer or ISP.
 
It was the first original post and right after it came through on my end, it
was there, then all of a sudden it had something in front of it and then a
line through it. The message said it was no longer available. Then it was
gone.

It worried me enough to run a virus scan, after everything that has been
going on, I figured it couldn't hurt. I did find 2 suspicious objects.

Everything seems to be fine this a.m.
