I can't setup up a printer.

Hi,

I have Windows XP professional, when I go to printers and
faxes it won't allow me to add a printer. I navigate to
Printers and Faxes, click on Add a printer and I get the
following message, "Operation could not be completed." It
just pops up a dialog box with that message and nothing
else.

Does anyone have a clue?

I get the same message, it has something to do with the
printer spooler service but i am not sure on how to fix
it, if you find out would you please let me know, cheers,

Had exactly the same problem, and resolved it (almost by fluke).

Go to Control panel/Administrative tools/services
Find Print spooler. Mine was set to Manual, and once I started it
everything worked fine. Changed it to start automatically.
