I can't send emails either...only recieve

Just got the computer which runs Vista a week ago and cannot get it to send
and emails.
Message that comes up is:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.comcast.net',
Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E


I would appreciate any help anyone might be able to give
