I can't see the windows xp computer from 2k pro

I have a home network and when I go to my network places
on the win 2k pro box the xp machine doesn't show up. I
have netbios over tcp/ip configured but nothing nada zilch
zip.

Did you run the XP Network wizard on both machines, if you did so, did you
make sure all firewalls were turned off including the XP firewall? During
the wizard, there's a question of how your system connects to the Internet,
usually the correct response is "Gateway." It may be different on your
setup so you may have to experiment. Nonetheless, an incorrect response to
this question will block network access.
