I can't see other people's comments in PowerPoint

I am unable to see comments people have made in a PowerPoint presentation. I
click on show comments, but nothing is there. I am using version 2000, and
it seems the people who can see the comments are using 2003. Any suggestions?
 
PowerPoint 2002 and later supports a new comment shape which is not backward
compatible. You will need either upgrade or request the users with the
latest version to convert to/create backward compatible comments shapes
using 3rd party add-ins.

As Shyam mentions, the people who're adding the comments in 2002/2003 would need
to convert them to something you can see in PPT 2000.
