I can't get the correct date on access

I am entering data, When I put in someones birthday whose was born in the
early 1900's say from 1901 to 1930, the date 2001 to 2030 always pops up. I
try to clear the entry and manual put in the 19 before the last two digits
for the year but it won't take.

There should be no problem entering the full 4-digit year, unless you have
specified an Input Mask in the Field in the Table, or an Input Mask in the
Textbox on the Form.

You are on the right track. You need to enter the long year date.
However somewhere your date format is set for the short year date format.
