Please help, I can't seem to find my previous question from about an hour
ago. I am getting married in 1 week, taking final exams, and losing my mind.
Thank you very much, Cindy

Use a newsreader, Outlook Express is very good. The server is
msnews.microsoft.com - the newsgroup is
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general. YOU have only YOURSELF to blame for
opting into a web-based usenet portal when you have the tool readily
available to solve this problem that you alone have inflicted on
yourself.

Q

I can't find it either, is this the correct group?

As to the three questions in this post I don't know what to advise. Question
2 seems like a good idea, good luck with it, question 3 seems like a bad
thing but may be related to question 1 and I don't know anyone here
qualified to give you a definite answer to that one.

If you can find the time to set it up Outlook Express is a better method for
accessing these groups...

Well, you must have posted your previous note in another newsgroup than this one,
or you used a different name. There are no other postings for "bigdogs" in this newsgroup.
Sorry.

Don't panic. Take a pill.

Well, that is because your prior post wasn't sent to this group. If you
used a *real* NNTP client then you could've clicked in the tag column, sort
by the tag, and then you would see YOUR posts at the top of the list (or
those you tagged because you were interested in them). The webmail
interface is for dummies or those that don't have access to their own
computer.

If you want to find your prior post, and after enough time has passed for it
to migrate around the world to all the NNTP servers, included Google's, then
go use Google Groups to search for your posts, as in:

http://groups.google.com/groups?scoring=d&q=author:bigdogs

Notice your prior post timestamped at 5:33 PM is NOT in this group.

What is you current question - "where is my previous question?"?
Since you could post this one after 1 hour, I don't think you have a
newsreader problem.

The reason you're having such problems is that you are using the web
interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most
error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader,
such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows. See
