I can't choose dial-up

After I instaled a new motherboard, I had to re-install
windowsxp. I lost my dial-up. Now in the setup wizard I
can't choose to set up a dial-up connection. It's grayed
out. The modem seems fine.

This is the problem:

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP

re-apply SP1 ( or sp2 ) to restore your previous SP level.

( If you need to re-install Windows, I'd recommend using a
slipstreamed CD to re-install windows to the current SP level. )
