I cannot send or receive email in windows, error message ox8000ccc

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'test8',
Account: 'pop-server.hvc.rr.com (1)', Server: 'smtp-server.hvc.rr.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Invalid recipient:
<[email protected]>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error
Number: 0x800CCC79
 
I got the same error message. That recipient may have changed
their email address. Are you able to send to other recipients?
 
The only email address that is not woorking presently is my own. Others send
successfully. I will re enter my address.

You need to change the Port in use to 587 from 25.

Go to Tools Menu>accounts>select your account>properties button>advanced
tab, make the change>apply>OK.
