What happens when you try to reply?

When I reply I just bounces back.

Do you use an Exchange server for mail? This looks like a non-delivery
report from Exchange.

If you go to a message to which you can't reply (say the one above) and
double-click on the name for which you get a non-delivery report (in this
case, "Alexander Hamilton"), what do you get? Does the window that comes
up show an email address for the person?

Hi Jeff

Thanks for the help. Yes i believe i am using an exchange server and yes
its a non delivery report.
When I click on Andrews name a box opens (email Properties) which lists:

Display name:
email address:
email type: (this box is shaded gray which says SMTP)
internet formats:

You click on this and it changes to internet type and SMTP is not shaded any
more. You could type something in there is you want in addition to SMTP
internet formats: let outlook decide the best sending format
send plain text only
send using outlook rich text format

I have tried clicking on all the boxes. I look forward to hearing from you.

That's pretty much what I expected - your problem is that the message
arrived with no email address for the people, just their name, so you can't
send a message to them. In all likelihood you can't do a thing about this
- it's a problem on the sender's end, in that their email program is not
putting the email addresses into the message. You might check with whoever
runs your mail system and see if they have any idea how it is happening.

I am not sure i really understand what you mean. I have also email one of my
college friend and he has a @U.arizona.edu account. I was able to email him
once before. In addition i can send them email from my personal account at
hotmail but not my work address with outlook. These people i am trying to
email are telling me that there email is fine and they are using it and
getting responses all day?

Can you be a little more specific on what the problem is. I have a basic
knowledge of computers.
Thanks again for all your help.

If you can reply to someone using Hotmail but not through your Exchange
server, you'll need to talk to whoever runs your Exchange server. Either
the server is misconfigured, or a policy decision has been made to not
allow sending to some external addresses. Perhaps your Exchange server
isn't even connected to the Internet. Your mail administrator can help you
figure this out...
