I can receive but cannot send email

I'm using Windows XP Pro with latest updates. NetZero is my ISP.

Using Outlook Express 6 I can send and receive email, no problems.

Using Outlook 2003, I can receive but I cannot send email. The Outlook 2003
settings and the Outlook Express 6 settings look identical. By the way,
Outlook 2003 worked for a while. What should I do to get Outlook 2003 to
send email?

What type of accounts do you have?

1. I get no visible error messages. Do I have to do something special to see
error messages?
2. I have a NetZero Platinum account (dial-up modem).

you usually see them but can enable logging for more details.

the OPMLog.log file here (inline) after the problem happens.

try sendign anew message from that account and then post the log file. make
sure you mention which account it is.

I searched my C drive and I have neither a local settings folder nor an
opmlog.log file after I enabled mail logging and tried sending email via MS
Outlook 2003. Now what?
