There are two different I386 folders that Windows XP uses.

The I386 from the CD-ROM, is the complete install package.

The I386 that exists under the Drive Cache folder is different.
As the name implies it contains only drivers

Should be in my computer,c drive. Also check: start menu,
programs, MS office tools and open clip organizer- is
there also. Good luck!

If it's there, it's likely marked as a hidden system folder. Change the
settings under folder options/view to enable seeing them. It will only exist
on the hard drive *if* this is a preinstalled system or you copied it from
the retail disk (and if you did the latter, then you should know where on
the drive you copied it to).

Maybe I'm missing something here but exactly what do the MS Office Tools and
opening clip organizer have to do with the poster trying to find the I386
folder?
