Hyperlinks that do not return to the slide

I have a presentation with several action buttons with links to the web and to specific files. When I click on the link, then click the back button to return to the show I go back to the slide where the hyperlink resides. This is perfect. The problem is that when my co-worker tries the same thing on her PC (at a different location) the back button returns her to the first slide of the show. Any ideas?
