Hyperlinks on PP Presentations

Using PP 2002, Win XP.
I have a PP Presentation with about 17 slides. In 14 of the slides I have
hyperlinks to current web sites.
All the links work except one that has an IP address as part of the URL,
while the others do not. When using the one that failed directly, out of the
presentation, the site connects.
The URL is http://209.208.13.215/home/homej.html
I could not find any reference about it on any source. Anybody knows why it
would not work?

Does it fail, or is it just extremely slow to load? I have a DSL connection to
the web and that URL is very slow. If it fails, what message do you get? Do
you get a 404 browser screen, or a site not available screen?

I use Cable access and the response is very fast. I get the typical screen
with:
"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings."
As I said, the URL works when using it directly, but once in the PP
Presentation, I get the above message. The problem is encountered by others
using the presentation. Thanks for the response.

That's the message that I am getting now outside of PowerPoint. I suspect that
the site may be the problem.

Trying it in PowerPoint I find that initially I get a "site not available"
message, but clicking on the browser's Refresh button will bring up the site.
It appears to be a URL interface translation problem of some sort. I can't
think of another workaround.

You are so right, we never tried using the Refresh button. I still do not
know why it behaves that way, but we can live with it.
Before posting this reply, I would like to express my admiration for the
excellent web site that you have with out of this world graphics. Now I
understand why you are the PowerPoint guru around here. Thanks for the help.
