Hyperlinks in MS Word

I do not want MS Word to access the Internet. How do I stop the hyperlinks
from working in MS Word?
 
are you talking about Word trying to be your web brower?`1

or are you talking about the hyperlinks in a word document?`2

1) right click an html document, and select open with > choose program.

select internet explorer or your browser.

TICK Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.

OK

2) right click the hyperlink in word, and it should say "disable hyperlink"
or something similar.
