Hyperlinks don't work either in Outlook 2000

Hyperlinks in my incoming e-mails don't work. The cursor and title bar seem to blink when I click on the links but IE doesn't open. I've tried all the settings IE 6.0 and checked the associations in Windows but none of these work. I have a feeling that the last patch only caused a bug rather than to fix one. Common Microsoft fix what you screwed up please.
 
you need to set uo your email for html, this is under
tools /options /mail format /select html,rich text and
the other, also under internet convert mail to html
