Word version: 2000.

When I insert a hyperlink to a heading that immediately
follows a manual page break, clicking on the hyperlink
jumps me to the page break instead of the heading itself.
Can this be remedied?

Victor,
Try the following:
Place the insertion point in the heading that is the destination of your
hyperlink
On the Format menu, press Paragraph
Click the Line and Page Breaks dialog box
Check the Page break before check box and click OK

Make sure you're in normal view (click Normal on the View menu) -- it's
easier to delete formatting marks in normal view
Delete the Page Break formatting mark immediately before the heading in
question (it looks roughly like: _______Page Break_______)
Your hyperlink should work fine now

Manual page breaks have an annoying habit of picking up the formatting of
the following paragraph and can also cause problems with hyperlinks, as
you've already seen. They also are a source of document corruption. In the
future, I'd recommend using Page break before formatting.

That did it.

It will take some getting used to, considering that for
years I've used Ctrl-Enter to insert page breaks, but I
think it will be worth the change.

Thanks for your help.
