I have 3 sets of links in my doc. WWW, files in our network and the third
are internal links using bookmarks. At first the www and bookmarks worked
but I could not get the links to the network to remain after I saved.
Finally, IT came up with a path to use as a hyperlink base (file-properties)
that made the network links work but makes my internal links default to the
network directory also. Any suggestions? IT has washed it's hands of this.

Hi Redbird,

You didn't mention the version of Word or Windows.

If using Ctrl+K to create the hyperlink
to a folder doesn't work, and you've tried
using pathed files vs UNC file names, what you may want
to try is to create a Windows Shortcut file to point to that
folder and then hyperlink to the shortcut file.
When you do, make sure the hyperlink includes the
..LNK file extension that is part of the shortcut's
true file name.
