I have produced a Word report with many hyperlinks and then targeted the hyperlinks using hyperlink base (under properties) to the hyperlinked files on the CD that both the files and report were burned to.

Now a very strange problem is occuring, when the report is opened using Word 2000 on one computer the links don't work ("Could not find source file") however the links work fine on another computer using, again Word 2000. Both computers have the CDrom mapped to D, and as for as I can tell all things are equal. Is there some behind the scenes setting or default that I am missing? Why are the links not opening on one computer? Help

Thanks,K

Hi K,

The links will probably only work if the absolute (or relative if you used
that) path to the source data is exactly the same on both PCs. Otherwise
you'll have to update the links.

Cheers
