Hello:

I have a problem regarding the hyperlink in Outlook
Express and Word. It doesn't seem to do anything when
you click on it. I have tried registering the dll files,
reinstalling internet explorer and outlook express and it
still doesn't work. Any suggestions???

In Word, you'll need to hold down <ctrl> when trying to get the link to
work. In outlook express, it only works if you've received the e-mail, not
when you're composing it.

I did hold down the ctrl and it gives me an error: unable
to open this link. no appliction registered for this
file. I have tried re-registering the dll's but it still
has a problem. I also tried sending emails with
hyperlinks in them and I still get the same problem. Any
more suggestions???

It doesn't matter which links. If anyone sends me an
email with a link, I click and it does nothing. No
response. If I try a link in word, it gives me an error
unable to open link. no app registered for this file.
What do you think???

the link you gave me to go too doesn't work. do I do that
within outlook express or ie???

Let me know and thank you so much for your help.

Eddie doesn't have answers, he just like's to poke fun at people and try to
make them feel stupid because they didn't give a highly detailed explanation
of what the exact problem is, any error messages, etc, etc... and exactly
what was done to the PC in the past few days (whether it was done knowingly
or unknowingly). If you don't have all that info, Eddie will just say that
we can't help unless you tell us what you did to break it.

LMAO

No, I'm just out to get you because it's fun!!

Especially when you post things like this, "Your problem seems to be that
you have something stuck on your shift or caps-lock keys, try removing this
object and post back if you still have not solved your problem.". At least
when I replied I complained about the all caps and asked what a setting was
within IE that could possibly lead to a solution.

lol, I replied to the CAPS LOCK QUESTION LIKE THAT for exactly the same
reason: 'because it's fun!!'

Start---run---type REGSVR32 URLMON.dll
Then, open Internet options in control panel --program tab--reset web
settings--reboot.
