Hi:

My son installed another web browser on my PC, I have since deleted it,
however, my hyperlinks via word, excel, outlook will no longer work. Is
there a way to restore the default setting with having to go in and fugure
out which programs to associate with each link?

If you're talking about Internet Explorer as your default browser:
IE > Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab > Reset Web Settings.
Tick that the Internet Explorer will check that it is the default
browser. Restart IE when done.

Hi Mark,
1 = Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools / Internet Options
Click on the Programs tab
Click on the Reset Web Settings button, then Click on Manage Add-Ons and See
if the Pre-mentioned Toolbar have a BHO and Disable it.
Also while there click on Advance Tab and under Browsng Option uncheck this:
[ ] Enable Third Party Web browser extensions (req rest) uncheck this box.
Click OK and Reboot your Machine.

2 = If you click on a hyperlink in a web page and only a blank window appears,

Go to Start / Run
Then enter regsvr32 urlmon.dll
Click Ok when finished
If that single change does not resolve the problem, repeat the process by
running the following additional entries: (one at a time and Reboot/Restart
your machine)
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll

Always be sure your computer is Malware free to eliminate the Spyware side
of things.
HTH.
Please post back your Result.
Regards,
nass
