Can someone guide me to a web site that can explain step by step how to
setup a https server?

certainly. open google and type .......https server set up.
you will be astonished at what you can find by yourself

You could try Google, but what you will get is Daniel Petri's excellent
advice for setting up HTTPS on a domain. Unfortunately, none of the
instructions you will get will work for IIS 5.1 (or 6.0) on a non-domain
computer.

Try this instead:

1. Start Here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=265847

2. Certificate Request:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/228821/EN-US/

3. Certificate Response and SSL:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/228836/EN-US/

Print these three articles out and follow the instructions. There is a spot
where the instructions forget to tell you to select Base 64 Encoding or
something like that, but it will be obvious when you get there.
