I have been having a weird issue for a month or so now. My machine
will stop transferring using HTTP. HTTPS, FTP, etc. still works and
is functioning fine. To resolve the issue, I can reboot my machine.
It will start working again, until it randomly fails again. It may be
a day, days, or weeks.

I am running windows xp (sp1) and have also applied all of the
critical updates from windowsupdate.

There was a similar thread to this on the windows 2k networking board.
My friend is having the exact same issue as myself. He is running
windows 2k with sp4. So it's not a SP issue, since we are running a
different OS and SP. It had been working fine for the longest time.
So I am thinking an update is causing this, but have no idea which
update to remove if it would even fix it now.

Any help would be appreciated.

More information that maybe useful:
I do not have any other firewalls running. Antivirus was removed and
it still happens. No other blockers or anything else were installed,
trying to find out what happens to the connection.
