All of a sudden I just can't connect to my http mail server, lycos to be precise. I get this error every time.
Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Mark', Server: 'http://webdav.lycos.co.uk/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12019, Error Number: 0x80004005
I have searched knowledge base for 'hotmail http' solutions but none of them worked, I changed cookie handling, site security levels, etc. By the way pop access works fine. Have been in touch with Lycos but it seems they just can't be bothered to reply. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx!

I have gone through exactly the same process - it was working all fine
and now I get the same message as you do;

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account:
'http://webdav.lycos.co.uk/httpmail.asp (1)', Server:
'http://webdav.lycos.co.uk/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server
Response: 'Object Not Found', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC34

I have to say it does look like a lycos issue because it does work
sometimes - not frequently though
