HTML Help in cache

Cannot navigate to HTML Help toppic when the chm has been
downloaded to the cache file content.ie5. This i a new
problem that didn't occur under NT/IE5. The problem only
exists when the selected topic is in a linked .chm.

This apparently happened after a windows update.
To fix the problem, find the Tshoot.inf file which should be in
c:\windows\inf, right click
on it and select Install from the popup list. Have your Win cd on hand.

The above will not work if 824145 security fix has been installed.

Read on and if you feel confident then run the fix from this site.
