Hello everyone,

I have installed and applied QFE 825119 to my configuration, and our
application is having trouble with linking within the help pages. The help
links work fine under XP Pro. I've been trying to resolve the version of
the HTML help components, particularly HHCTRL.OCX, assuming that this is
where the trouble lies.

My embedded image has version 5.2.3669.0 (dated 11/13/2003)

My XP Pro has version 5.2.3735.0 (dated 12/20/2002)

The truly curious thing is that I can't find another copy of 5.2.3669.0
anywhere else in my system. There are 2 copies of the OCX I found within
the repositories, but they are both older versions.

So my questions are:

1. What version of the OCX should I see with 825119 applied?

2. Where is TD getting version 5.2.3669.0 of the OCX?

Thanks,
Mike

Hello again,

Well, I figured out the that the hhctrl.ocx in my image comes from the file
Q323255_hhctrl.ocx in the repository. This explains how I got version
5.2.3669.0 of the control.

I also found that XP Pro gets version 5.2.3798.80 from Q811630. However, I
can't find this version of hhctrl.ocx for XP Embedded. This Knowledge Base
article describes the kind of trouble we are seeing - links to related
topics do not work.

If I manually copy version 5.2.3798.80 of hhctrl.ocx to my image the links
will work, but a security warning is displayed each time the link is
clicked.

So, my question at this point is what QFE, if any, addresses Q811630?

Thanks for any help.

Mike

Correction: If I manually copy version 5.2.3798.80 of hhctrl.ocx to my
image everything works fine (the security link errors were from an old
build - before Q323255 was applied).

However, my question still stands: Is there a QFE that addresses Q811630
(contains version 5.2.3798.80 of hhctrl.ocx, etc.)? If not, is it OK for me
to just copy the OCX into my image?

Thanks,
Mike
