HPQTOASTER.EXE. What is it?

A few days ago I bought a new Compaq Presario V5102NR. After what felt
like an eternity of reconfiguring, installing new software, and
trimming out silly HP/Microsoft processes that didn't need to be
hogging system resources, I was left with one last extraneous process:

HpqToaster.exe. Its location is C:\Program
Files\HPQ\shared\HpqToaster.exe

It's clearly a piece of HP software, but the msconfig interface doesn't
provide an option to disable it at bootup. I'd delete it outright but
there isn't a single site anywhere that even acknowledges this file's
existance so I have no idea what its purpose is.

Does anybody have any info on what this process does and how to prevent
it from loading?

I found that page as well...the only page on the entire web that lists
the file, and it's only mentioned in a long list of processes. It
didn't provide any answers.

I'll have to call HP and ask them about it I suppose. And I'll be
shocked if they can actually answer a question this obscure about their
product.

If Hpq is disregarded, Toaster.exe searches out as various CD player apps,
for what that's worth.

Most likely a cd/dvd burning program. I seem to recall that there was a
shareware qtoaster program at one time now all I can find is gtoaster,
which is gnome-toaster, and cdrtoaster. HPQ is the stock market ticker
name for HP/Compaq, so probably means the same in this connotation.

One may try renaming it.
