My HP inkjet behaves very oddly printing under WinXP...
when I try to print something, it gets into the queue but
the progress stops at 72kb out of xxx k/meg. If i try to
cancel the job it says its cancelling but never leaves
the queue and blocks all other jobs. When I shut down,
the computer hangs and needs a hardware reset, but then
prints any cancelled jobs on re-boot (but not ones I
wanted left in the queue!). This is the same no matter
what program I try to print from. The best way I have
found to get a doc to print is to boot with the printer
turned off, send something to print and turn the printer
on a second or so after hitting the final OK to send it
to the printer. Most of the time it then prints most of
what I want! The same printer connected to the same
maching in the same way running Win2k or Win98 works
perfectly. This happens with the drivers included in XP
as well as the latest drivers from HP. Any ideas?
