Recently, I lost the use of my scanner; somehow program gone from system. When I reinstall software and hardware and startup, computer crashes and sends big error message to remove soft and hardware from system. When I do, system is OK(minus scanner)
 
I would go on the HP web site &
download the driver for you scanner. I would
then add new hardware & use the device
driver that was downloaded. marvo
