Hi All,

I have tried today to install a HP6122 printer on an XP Pro machine to no
avial. It seemed to install but when i rebooted the machine it kept on coming
up with found new hardware a HP6122 printer if you cancel the request it
appears every 3 seconds.

Not to sure of what to do in this situation. Please could someone help.

You need to first install the HP software drivers and connect the printer only
when the install process is requesting in. Disconnect the printer from the PC
and uninstall the HP drivers. Reboot and then do:

1) Install the HP drivers.

2) When requested, connect the printer to the PC.
