Hi,
I've got a small problem with my HP deskjet 960c series printer.
I've re-installed the software and the latest driver. The machine just
kept printing without the BLUE color, that is, a blue printout will come out
pink or magenta. Tried troubleshooting the problem but with no success. Can
some one please help? Thanks a lot.
My OS is Windows XP Pro SP2.

delete your hp printer in device manager

to get to device manager right click on my computer go to properties then
the hardware tab,

once in there uninstall the printer

The unplug your usb cable

then restart and plug it back in again once its finishedthen instsall the
drivers as necessary

Good luck

Why do you believe this is a software problem and NOT a hardware
problem?

There is a very good chance that your colour cartridge is to blame.. you may
be short of a colour, or the contacts are failing..

CMYK - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and blacK. Learn it then replace the color
cartridge. This is NOT an XP problem.

Thanks, every one.
I think Mike may be right, I may need to replace a new color catridge
because the green color is missing.

Appreciated for your advice Sleepless.
By the way, Mike, with his kindness, had supplied me with useful
information.

LOL,this brings back a memory of a time I refiled my ink cartridge myself
and put the different colored ink in the wrong holes.

Hi Kelly
What did support have to say? In the meantime, do some reading here and
good luck!

Actually I have the same problem at my place with a HP Deskjet 970Cxi.

In my case the problem started when I installed another set of HP
driver for my newbought HP Deskjet 5600. After that my HP Deskjet
970Cxi prints without blue color.

It was my intention to have both printers attached and use both
printers. I sometimes print newsletters 600 double sided with
pictures, so I could have both running at the same time.

I have had to install the 970 on another computer to get it to use the
blue colour (I'm in europe thous Colour and not Color) -- most likely
a driver problem in my case.

HP Support ... When did you purchase the drive? over a year ago, what
is your visa, this is going to cost you!! .. so much for HP support,
it's good while it lasts, but they cut you off otherwise.

Regards Leif.
