hp printer grief

Hi guys -
I have a HP920 - it's a great printer when it works
but ........ for some reason - lately it only prints the
first 1/8th of a document and then stops and spits out
the paper. I've downlaoded the most recent drivers and
even turn off every other application - but still it
won't complete the document. This is a little troubling
now that school is starting and homework will have to be
printed. any ideas???
