Very recently, I upgraded my Windows ME to XP Home.
Everytime I start my computer, it tells me it has
detected new hardware (my HP Photosmart P1000 printer)
and asks if I want to install it. When I go through the
installation process, I get messages stating that the
driver is not compatible with XP. Obviously, if I can't
install my printer, I cannot print and I need this
function. I have attempted to find driver software to
install from the help website, but have not found
anything for my specific printer. Does Microsoft not
recognize this product as a valid printer? Any help to
get this installed would be greatly appreciated.
