HP OfficeJet D145 Install Error

Installing printer on new computer running XP HomEd.
Have latest XP Install disk from HP for XP, but when
installing I get "Found New Hardware Wizard" box with
this message: "There was a problem installing the
hardware: HP office jedt d scanner...An error occurred
during the installation of the device....The required
section was not found in the INF. ....Click finish to
close the wizard"
Can anyone tell me what to do or what the problem is?

Hi Jim
HP devices are very fussy about exactly following their installation
instructions
In Control panel Add/Remove uninstall the D145 software. Switch the computer
OFF and remove the USB and power cables from the HP D 145. Switch the
computer ON and install the D145 software. Connect the power and USB cables
to the D145 and switch ON. Windows XP will find the printer and install the
software
