When I try to install my new hp dvd writer, it is not
recognized as being installed. The software will install
in windows xp, but the drve is never recognized.
 
Oops and what program r u using in XP?

Xp's built-in burning is useless. If this is
what you're using. Get something else
like Nero or Cd Creator
