I am having problems using hp deskjet 720c with window xp.

1) Part of the text does not print if txt is in word 97

2) If I export one simple page to notepad the printing is
ok

3) If text is more than one page, then exporting to
wordpad or notepad, the printing is missing on the first
pages and after one page printer get stuck

4) Photos in jepg format do not print.

Any ideas pl.

I already responded to your earlier posting, if you perhaps cannot find that
one, hopefully you will read this one

Could be a number of different reasons for this

1) When you created the original Word files, probably way back in 1997, you
had the Photo images on the same PC.... if you did not embed the graphics
into the final saved document, then they cannot be shown when you open them
on the new PC since the original photos are still on the old PC.

If you can go back to the old PC and check that the documents are saved with
the graphics embedded, it should solve the problem. However the files are
now going to be quite large (depending on the size of the graphics).... so
you may need to burn them to a CD rather than transfer them via floppy as
they may not fit.

2) Hold the mouse over the photo thumbnail in question in Windows Explorer
and it should tell you that format of the file and its size. If it's not
jpg, bmp etc, you may need to install whatever graphics program you had on
the old PC.
