HP Deskjet 697c

For some reason my printers only print garbbled text and
what appears to be the random symbols, numbers, and
words. I just got a Dell and cannot get either printer to
work. I can't find correct driver updates. I have had
problems with my archaic Okidata Ol-410e and my newish HP
Deskjet 697c. HELP!

Sounds like corrupted printer drivers to me.

Uninstall and then reinstall the printer(s) as per
http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article One.htm

After the reboot, use the Add Printer Wizard to reinstall the printer. Do
NOT reconnect the pirnter to the PC until the software tells you to do so.
