This is exactly my problem. I am trying to install the oem video
drivers during RIS, and they never install. I had this issue with the
sound but we have figured that one out. Just need to know if anyone can
help me out.

Thanks

I have tried that and the hotfix gets applied, but the video drivers
still aren't there. The audio drivers are working great, but we still
can't get the video drivers installed.

is this a riprep image or is it a cd-based (risetup) image?

Does your ristndrd.sif look something like this?

[Unattended]
OemPreinstall = Yes
OemPnpDriversPath = "Drivers\Video;Drivers\IntelINF"
DriverSigningPolicy = Ignore

And you have added the unpacked video drivers to the following
location?
\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\<image-name>\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\Video

Can you provide the [Unattended] of your ristndrd.sif file and a
directory listing of the
\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\<image-name>\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\Video
folder (or whatever you named it)

Are you also adding updated Intel chipset drivers?

The *.cat and *.inf files need to go to
\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\<image-name>\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\IntelINF

The *.inf files also need to go to
\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\<image-name>\$OEM$\$$\INF

Yes my ristndrd.sif looks like that. I don't know what to try. Has
anyone RISed one of these HPs yet?

how did you start with the dc7600.
Did you wipe out the hard drive and start clean or use what was there and
configured it for your network.

i cant get my riprep to install on a second dc7600., but i can get a flat
file to install with all the correct drivers installed.

most likely the video driver you are using are the one you have to run setup
to work. you need to use the oem version of the drivers. Did you download the
drivers or use the ones that where in the c:\compaq\video folder.
