HP Compaq nx6310 Restore Installed programs on XP

After a system crash, I used the HP emergency recovery program. It
backed up all installed programs and data (including C:\windows) to a
folder on C.(C:\my backup). Now i am trying to restore the previous
system state including the installed programs and data from the folder.
But all restoration programs seem to be looking for a file with .bkf
extension which does not exist in the folder.
Any help will be appreciated.

You need to contact HP/Compaq tech support for help with their recovery
program.
