HP 3300c Scanner does not work after downloading XP PRO and drivers

I recently changed from Windows 98' to windows XP Pro and now my HP 3300c Scanner does not work. I have downloaded the latest drivers for this scanner from HP. The HP test says that I have the correct drivers for XP but the scanner does not scan. I have even gone to the other O/S fixes and tried them but "No Luck". I have a scanner not like yours, ... that worked 'magic'
on 98, however on XP, there is NO 'working point.' Then,
this problem seems quite universal, even 'driver' upgrade
and so on.
Somewhere here, Internet, I bumped into to read that 98
and XP has complete 'different' platform, for this
reason, there is a problem that you and I encountered as
to a usage of the 'scanner,' while printers are all OK on
both 98 and XP.
