HP 1210 - Problem with Scanner

Could someone advise on this please.....

Printer works fine as does the copier but not the scanner (all-in-one machine). Machine 11 months old.

Do you advise unistalling the lot and then reinstalling or is there some other method I should try? Don't use the scanner that often but it would be nice to get it up and working again.

You could try reinstalling the drivers, but if you are 11 months into your warranty you had better act fast and if no joy with the machine after reinstalling the drivers, depending on where you bought the machine you could try taking it back and exchanging for another unit....time is of the essence...:)
 
OK, thanks Crazylegs!! I have the receipts etc... so will try and reintsall and if not, a trip to the shop!!

Can you print from the scanner directly without using the PC (like a photocopier basically), if you can then its probably something at the PC end causing the problem.

Scanners can be a bit difficult to get working sometimes, so the reinstall sounds like a good idea :)

Yes, it will copy like a standalone photocopier and it prints fine. I'll try the reinstall and let you kno!
