do I know whether I am pop3 etc? Every 30 seconds this e-mail program pops
up and asks for my credentials. Whether I mark to be saved for future or
not. It is all messed up and too confusing. I do not like Vista as far as
mail and want my outlook express back!! (without paying $500 to get it
there)

Ask your email provider.

If you have been using Outlook Express for email then you already have your
pop and smtp details. As for going back to Outlook Express - Windows Mail
'is' outlook express, just a new name and a little bit of tinkering under
the hood. You use Windows Mail in exactly the same way as you did Outlook
Express.
