All the scripts on my site are from Doug and Billy. This is what they say
'This code may be freely distributed/modified'
If that one is yours i will take it off.

When I run msconfig, I notice in the startup tab, there are some programs I
removed from my computer a long tome ago. How do I get rid of the names of
these programs in the startup list?

Paul,

That script is not yours nor credit given on your site. And we have had
previous discussions. Makes me wonder what the rest of your site contains
and with what permission.

Speaking of, after a visit there, you have spelled my name wrong and that
still doesn't cover credit given for my work nor your taking my words
verbetim from my site for your intro notes.

What is even more obvious is that you can't even answer common questions
when it does come to edits that you do promote.

Your best bet is getting to known the registry and how to create,
troubleshoot and support your "own" work.

Thanks I will give it a try. I am not good with computers as I can't
see the screen, but I love challenges. I will post back when I try
the suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks. I believe it worked.

The easy/best way is the startupcpl applet from Mike Lin.

No registry edits required.

Hi,

I see you mention this often, does it also remove the entries from the
registry and prevent Selective Startup?

It can remove the entries from the registry, or just disable them, or
move them from one startup location (all users start program) to another
(run key in the registry, for instance). Give it a spin yourself!

Not sure it knows about 'selective startup' though, since it predates
WinXP (at least the version I'm running does).

Thanks for the info. And will pass. Don't really use third party and
especially not for that. It would sorta be like getting an uninstaller for
an uninstaller. :o)

I do remember using it back in my Win98 days but can't remember what the
conflict was that caused me to remove it from all three systems here at that
time. It'll come to me. :o)
